Yeah I lose about a quart every 2,000 miles through the valve stem seals. Certainly adding oil makes the test look a bit better. But regardless, the wear-metals are very low which is nice to see.

we have the same X5, 2007 4.8i and I'm also adding a quart every 2,000 miles. wow.

i'm at 136,000 miles.
