Was there a TSB indicating the oil for the S63 to be 5w-40? I though the oil was suppose to be 5w-30.

please don't turn this into another 50 page oil thread on what is the best oil. Here's my recommendation.

-Get oil that is LL-01 certified
-shorten the oil change interval
-If you plan on trying different types of oil, start getting oil analysis so you can compare and make informed decisions. (choosing based on what others say is not very helpful)
-note that oil level may be off with changes if there's an vacuum leak
