X5 4.8i (blank screen) WEIRD ISSUES!

So I'm new to the X5 world.. Beautiful trucks!!

Just picked up a used 2008 with 108K. 4.8i Been a BMW guy my whole life. Actually own 3 others. (see signature)

So I've been lurking on the forums now for a few weeks trying to find information regarding my issues. Here's what's going on.

Bought the truck from a used car dealer. no warranty as is. Dealer did tell me they had issues with the NAV not working. More importantly the CID unit. I had the dealer discount the truck close to $3k due to this issue. Paid $7500.00! truck is immaculate. Pictures coming next thread!

Here's what I've done so far.
1. replaced the CCC unit with another one.
2. Have had SFBMWCODING (Adrian) re code the new unit to the truck. He got the "chime" back, backup and front sensors to "beep beep"
3. replaced and checked all fuses in the trunk (right side rear compartment)
4. replaced and checked all fuses on passenger side lower glove box
5. Removed the IDRIVE knob completely and taken it apart to check for any burnt area's and such. SPOTLESS
6. Replaced to a new battery.
7. Done a 30 min and over night battery reset.
8. Swapped back the original CCC unit (just to double check)
9. Did the "hold volume & eject buttons test several times.
10. Completely unplugged all components on left rear compartment (when disconnecting battery)

Weird stuff -

1. AUX works with my phone. If I push the "mode" bottom I can get lucky and find the setting for my Pandora to kick off and play.
2. HAVE sound in front speakers
3. Backup and front sensors work
4. DVD and CD drive take a CD

I'm stuck and out of idea's.

I'm coming to a conclusion that maybe its just the CID screen? I can take a 3 hour drive an buy a used unit from BMW Recycler in Sacramento but that's almost a $300 day.

Any idea's and suggestions would be grateful!

Not sure Id have spent a penny fixing the old CCC stuff.

Screw using a recycler, those old nav parts are basically throw-away. Find someone upgrading, buy theirs...

Welcome!

BTW, it isnt a truck

Thanks for the warm welcome... Yeah I thought about that as well. But for my budget I figured why not might be easy fix. Got. I'm actually thinking about upgrading the whole thing any suggestions? I've seen people upgrade to a 10.5 screen setup?

My only issue with upgrading is I don't want to spend that money and the problem still exists if that makes any sense... But open to suggestions. And thank you I will be posting pictures shortly!

really? I checked all the fuses underneath the glove box on the passenger side I couldn't find the one blowing fuse, or empty slot according to the diagram. Plus I've read that the glove box fuse is on the same circuit as the screen..What fuse number is this just to double check myself.

Fuse box BMW X5 E70

Just going off of here with layout of the fuses
Thanks!

Nope no luck there. Screen not working wouldn't be a problem, but I can access my climate nor car service info. What a downside by bmw

Might have to hit you up that's for that screen. My only concern is I just bought a used one from a BMW recycler and it did not work. I tried to screens while I was there. It leads me to believe it's not my screen? But I bought it anyways just cuz it was in better condition and I figured if I figure out the issue will have anywhere screen. At this point I'm almost at the stage where I want to rip out all of it to input hay fresh NBT upgrade.
