P10EA error code

I have a 2012 X5 (E70) with about 80K miles.

I have a check engine light on and went to AutoZone to get the code. The code is P10EA. I Googled it and the error is: Ambient Air Temperature Too High. I was wondering if anyone else has seen this error and what is causing it before I take it in to the dealership.

I'll add that my outside air temp reading on the dash has been reading about 20 degrees warmer than it is outside. I didn't think anything of it since it has been so bitter cold here (Cleveland) recently and I thought it was just freaked out because of the low temps. But even when it warmed up, the temp still read 20 degrees higher than it was.

Also, the check engine light came on as I was trying to figure out where my fuel pump relay is and I unplugged a square gray module from the fuse panel and then plugged it back in. Not sure it that has anything to do with anything, but it was right after that the the light came on.

Anyone have any ideas?
