Help me pick a new finish for my wheels!

Hi All

I'm going to get my style 214 20" OEM wheels refinished. I have an Alpine White E70 X5.

What option other than the oem finish would look good? I'm considering the following options right now:

1) Ferric Grey
2) Hypersilver, with black undertone
3) Hypersilver, with white undertone
4) possible two tone?

Matte black color would look nice. Get spacers too to have aggresive look.

Another vote for matte black. I love mine! It was called “80% gloss” at the powdercoater.

We have the same color X5 and love those black 214s!

IMO no to option 2,3,&4

Ferric is good, or some other dark grey color. Black might be too.... Something

Yeah, matte black on white may be a bit too much contrast.

I agree... I'm not going for black.

Anyone have any inspirational photos of style 214's redone is other finishes?

I had gunmetal on my alpine white and didn't like it at all. On a space gray, absolutely, but didn't work on the white. I would either leave it as silver or go black, which is what I dipped mine to. Normally I'm not one to be bold, but I love the way it looks as a package, personally. Bonus, brake dust is no longer obvious. I can always rip it off, but no chance anymore.

And here's the stock gunmetal color. Ferric is darker and I just don't think any shade of gray works against the white.

Who's doing the work for you? I've been thinking of refinishing my wheels as well. Maybe we can get a deal if we do 8 rims?
