help identify oil leak near drain plug.

can anyone point me in the right direction based on this picture? it's a 2007 4.8i with 139,000 miles.

Could it be somewhere up higher and it's dripping down?

Thanks!!

I had a 4.8 e70 and I think it is the $1 gasket with $1000 labor cost here:

Had it on my car and sold it without fixing. Good luck

no way to tell without taking it all apart and seeing exactly where it's coming from, but it's all in the same vicinity. it's a huge time consuming repair
