Panoramic sun shade not opening properly

Hi there,
I have a 2008 X5. The sun roof works fine but the sun shade was not closing properly and now the front section is dislodged from the back section. The front section won’t close at all. A few scraping sounds were heard and it would not close all the way and kept stopping. How do I get the 2 parts back together and realign?

Lots and lots of info out there. Just Google it. There's a YouTube walkthrough of how to close it manually
