That's greatly appreciated. I'll give them a call.

I spoke with Nixon and they quoted me $2K for a used diff and approx $800 for the labour. They declined to do the install if I supplied a diff which is a bummer because they are available on Ebay for $500-700usd. If I can find a reputable shop willing to install one I sourced on my own, I think that would be ideal.

There's also a guy on CL breaking his 3.0si that still has his diff, just waiting for a price from him.

I wouldn’t go to a shop requiring you to buy USED parts through them. They are just trying to make a buck off you. They will pick up a used one for $400 and sell it back to you for $2k. No thanks. I’d take my money elsewhere or DIY.

2K for a used diff? No thanks. I wonder if they would understand the term to go pound sand! That is a ridiculous price for a used diff.

Sunny - I spoke with Kuen and he only quoted a 4 hour job which at his rate would cost me less than half of what I was quoted by my shop for labor. So thank you for the recommendation!

And yeah, when there are a handful of used diff's on Ebay around the $500 mark, $2K sound pretty outrageous.

Found a local guy parting his 2007 3.0si with only 123K KMs (76K miles) willing to sell his diff for $400. Before I commit, can you guys confirm that all diffs for that year 3.0si should be the same? REALOEM.com appears to show only the one (plus a manufactured one with a different part number). I've just read of different gearing but I'm assuming that would only be across different years/engines?
