I see a few differences with mine in terms of the exterior stuff (fog light R&I; repeater R&I; No fender ($900+. then 6 hrs labor)), but a SLEW of missing stuff for internal parts- radiator support OK? dome other brackets, etc...

If you type in the part number for the headlight, ending in 4522, at parts.southatlanta....their price is $1300 Your shop is at $1900. My shop should make something on parts, but not 50% profit. Tell them you expect OE parts, zero 'remanufaturer' or 'used'. Stress that they dont want to do it over if you find waves or defects upon inspection.

Edit: I bet the insurance allowance on the OE parts is less than they are showing you, just a guess

IMO you will be at 10k.
Thanks, I noticed there was no fender too and I know there will be lots of other missing items once they start the repair. I'll insist on OE parts. My shop is known for doing good work but I am sure the price will increase. Its kind of crazy approaching $10K for an accident I can drive away from.

Exactly what I was thinking, cosmetic damage only. I guess its not hard to total these things if you actually bend and or break mechanical parts in an accident. Lets say if it would have been an Elk vs small deer and the front right suspension was damaged along with airbag deployment. I think my 2009 would be a total in that case.

You are right, it could have been much worse. I wonder what the cost of an airbag deployment would be? I was only going 30 mph, at 60 mph it would have been a different story.

FWIW...I brought my CTEK charger to the shop, told them "Im helping you out so you dont wind up with a dead battery, and then fry the FRM when you jump it like any other car". Guy laughed, thanked me.

Just a tidbit for ya'll

$7,800 including a "recycled" headlight. My auto body shop did a great job with paint and panel alignment. But they left out numerous small clips, bolts, and plastic rivets. Most people wouldn't have noticed but I didn't miss one thing.
