Welcome Light retrofit question [2011 X5 E70]
Recently bought a 2011 E70 35i and notice that it didn't have welcome lights on the bottom of the door but it had the indentation where were one would go.
Question, has any one retrofitted their door with Welcome lights? Not sure if the door already have the parts inside or I would need new LM module? And what needs to be program.

LM module or LCM module is from the E53 generation (and my old E46 M3). The E70 has an FRM module which controls the lighting. If I was to hazzard a guess, you have an FRM3 module which would need to be coded and the harness run to the door handles

Ok thanks. Running the harness would be the tricky part.
