indicator stalk stick faded/peeling

Hi all,

just picked up a 2009 M Sport, only issues I can see so far is the thick leather steering wheel has faded/marks which i think some saddle soap will sort out, the aluminium trim on the left and right of the centre console is marked (i guess they pop off so ill pick some up sooner or later at a breakers, but the one that I could do with sort is the indicator stalk/stick is worn/peeling/faded, i'll try to add a picture tomorrow, any ideas what i can do about it ? ive seen the whole unit for sale with the three stalks but id rather just do something about the one, Ta

I think the trims on the door panels require removal of the door panels first. They don’t just pop off.

I need to replace mine as the wood trim has cracks on it but due to the work involved it’s in the back burner for now.

Ah sorry, only read aluminum trim and thought of the aluminum trim under the door trims.

Don’t have any aluminum trims on my x5 on the center console.

sounds like yours will be wood, the two long thin bits that run on each side of the centre console
