Help to identify passenger side hard plastic line under fender liner
I pulled my passenger wheel well apart to fix a windshield washer fluid leak and found some hacks by a previous owner (or his incompetent mechanic).
Does anyone know what this line is for? I can't seem to find it in realoem... ![]() It was routed right next to the headlight washer line all the way to the washer fill area and was then just unconnected. The white "filter" was not connected to anything and didn't look like a BMW part which is why I ask... The hack that scares me was a poorly plugged headlight washer line: ![]() It was "plugged" and the plug zip tied on and as a bonus the tee was also filled with RTV to try and plug it that way... Terrible work, they could have used a regular barbed tee from the parts store (or home depot) by removing the clip connectors and it would have been "reasonable" if they were in a pinch but this is just bad work. I didn't find any other leak in my washer tank but I had bought a replacement anyway so I will put that in to be sure. This is what makes me worry that something else is hacked up on the other line. Thanks, Rich |
