Brake lamp

My 2012 5.0 reads “Left rear brake lamp out”, my guestions are; how hard is to replace myself, any special tools needed, is lamp a “dealer only” part or can I purchase from any parts store?
Thanks

Takes about 15 seconds - Go in trunk, take trim panel off (the carpeted ones with the pull handles that cover the tail lights) - unplug harness, squeeze clips to release the "tree" of bulbs -

Replace all 3 bulbs on both sides, you'll need 921, 7506 I believe (2 sets) - I replaced my brake lamps and then 10 minutes later the reverse and turn signal bulbs went, so now I have all 3 pairs fresh and good to go for another 5-6 years

LCI tails are LED for the "running lamp" section in the light -

The turn signal, brake lamp, and reverse lamp if you look at the housing are all halogen bulbs -

You need 2 sets of 7506 (its the cross reference for P21W bulb), and one set of 921 to refresh all the bulbs in the rear - Just go to Autozone they usually get restocked on Fridays - I got the "LL" Sylvania bulbs for mine, I think $26 for all 3 pairs -
