Noisy Suspension Compressor

Wondering what components need to be replaced to quieten down a noisy compressor found in a 07'. Would the AMK rebuild kit cover this issue? Thanks for any info.

For starters, the compressor should barely need to run for normal driving. Are your rear air bags leaking? Does it look like the rear end is squatting in the morning?

Agreed. Current pump not working and blows the 40A fuse every time. I bought it like that. I have access to a working but noisy pump and thought I would install a rebuild kit and give it a go. Just wanted to see if someone may know what causes the noise in these. Piston slap, wrist pin etc. Or potentially what seizes or causes a direct short to ground for that matter. Thanks for posting.

Oh gotcha. Yeah sorry, beyond how far I've looked into it. Good luck

Anyone happen to know why the main 40A fuse for suspension compressor would blow?

I ordered a brand new AMK compressor. I will follow up on this thread as I go through the original pump and do some forensic surgery.
