Arrow Max length of item I can fit?

I want to buy a 77" shelf. If I put the passenger seat all the way up, will it fit?

EDIT: no access to vehicle to measure atm.

I carried three 8" lengths of baseboard with inches to spare so you should be OK.

8’ will fit over the dash without a problem. That’s 96”. 2x4x8 fits without a problem. Just use blankets.

Yes, 8' fits easily. I actually just got a 10' pipe and gutter into my e53 x5 the other day without having to hang anything out of the window or tail gate so I'm sure the e70 could take a 77" shelf fairly easily.

This shows the interior dimensions of an e53. So it should be close.

^That image needs a measurement from the tailgate to the front of the dashboard. And then another to the top of the dashboard by the windshield.

I got the 10' items in there by putting them in the front passenger side footwell, leaning the passenger front seat back and then running them diagonally up towards the top left corner of the rear hatch. Hatch closed fine and barely touched the 10' PVC gutter and downspout.
