Yes.

I will only buy OEM from FCPEuro. (BMW is OE, as I recall Lemforder is the OEM for that part.) FCP should list who is the OEM, and they use the proper nomenclature for OEM vs OE

There are some real junk indian/3rd world parts, that *fit* but I dont trust them to last.

Yes your valve steam seals sound bad, get some AT-205 and see if that stops the smoking, I had great luck with mine. https://www.amazon.com/d/Automotive-...eywords=at-205

The issue is removing the ball joint, use a sledge hammer....

The other issue is you need a lot of upper body strength as the frame bolts are over 100/lbft and unless you have a lift you can only use short wrenchs to loose the bolts, and they are hard to break.

After doing it 1x on my 2008, I would say; buy the arms yourself. Have an independant or any suspension shop really (its not a skilled repair) do the front lower control arms and do the sways yourself. The sways are pretty easy.

Hi. I bought the ATP where do I put it. In the gasoline tank or where I put the motor oil?

you DO realize that only ONE person recommended this.

It is a hack, most decent mechanics and purists would not consider this

If it is the valve stem seals... prepare for a $3500+ repair bill on that line item. Have a mechanic diagnose the problem. It could be vacuum leaks from valve cover gaskets (or elsewhere), commonly failed CCV diaphragms, or something else. Definitely don't walk in and ask to have your VSS repaired.

As Ard stated, suspension wise, go with whatever OEM is. FCP is good about giving that info. It will be the same thing the truck came with, and will still be substantially cheaper than OE.

I've never used the AT205 but have heard of others using it with varying levels of success. Anything short of fixing the actual problem is a band aid. Personally, I use Lucas oil additive and heavier oil to alleviate the smoking until I have the time to dig into the N62 and replace all the common failure points (VSS, crossover pipe, timing cover gaskets, motor mounts, alternator mount gasket, etc). But again, this too is a band aid and not a solution.

Thanks for the advice. Now do I pour the AT in motor Oil hole or the gasoline? This is temporary until I get it fix.

Will do

So right now I think the smoke is less than before, when reversing I used to see a lot of smoke come out, as of today, 3 days later, I do see smoke when reversing but not as much as before. I will report back later on as well maybe in a month or so. Thank You all
