I turned off "Contacts access" in my phone's Bluetooth settings last night. This morning and after ten minutes, the display is different than before and I attached a photo for you all to see. I'll observe it over the next couple of days.

There's a program that I had to use because my LG g5 and now g6 weren't syncing contacts at all.
It might fix the issue and there's a free trial you can try https://play.google.com/store/apps/d..._rsap.irmctest

It also allows you to choose which groups to sync, which might fix the issue of too many contacts if the program doesn't fix the issue in the first place.
