Quick question, did any oil spill on the alternator and what was the mileage on the vehicle when you changed it?

Was it making a loud whining sound?

The alternator is not hard to replace. As for oil. My alternator had oil pouring all over it from several leaks. 15,000 miles ago I used two cans of CRC electrical cleaner on it to make it shiny and new. No issues since. I would post a picture but Xoutpost won’t let me.
