2011 e70 LCI xdrive30d (Australia) - vibration sound in cabin

Hey All

Been lurking since the e53 days.

I am racking my brains trying to figure out what this intermittent vibration sound coming from the engine bay/firewall area into the cabin.

More noticeable in the drivers seat (right hand drive side).

It comes and goes when stationary and in park, drive with the break on not noticeable when revving or accelerating.

I’m just wondering if it could be anything else to check before I commit to ripping off the timing chain covers to inspect and do the dreaded job that is timing chains on the n57 diesel.

I was thinking if it was a timing chain issue it would be more of a permanent thing? Or is it timing chain looseness failure perhaps in its infancy?

Any insight would be appreciated
