shock confusion is unreal.

hello all.
If this is another post i do appologize, i have spent the better part of a week trying to find this answer anywhere. I have a 12 x5 35d with rear air suspension but no 3rd row seating. the little bit i have been able to find says 3rd row rear shocks are about 2 inches shorter then non 3rd row. i keep seeing w w/o electronic suspension 3rd row sport suspension ect and honestly my head is spinning. I was hoping to run bilstein b6 but i am very unsure of which i need. I also need to arnott bags and was probably going to do both at the same time.

Cheers

Call your dealer; give them your VIN and have them look up the correct part number for you. Then shop online for the best price.Don't rule out some of the BMW e-commerce sites. My local dealer's E-commerce site ("yourBMWparts.com") is usually the best price on most Genuine BMW items.

so i was able to find the OE part numbers but my dealer was unable to really give me an information on anything about the vehicle. is there a good parts number interchange site to go from BMW part numbers to bilstein or kyb?

the part numbers are 33526782875 and 33526782876. if anyone has done the shocks with these part numbers which ones did you get? im kinda temped to get the sport shocks and go with it. i would like a stiffer ride.

cheers

What 'information about the car' are you seeking?

Not that we have found. Why go with bilstein or kyb? Are you seeking different specs? WHAT specs? 'stiffer' and 'more performance' are marketing spin, not specs

EVERYONE in the USA w leveling suspension (and no AD) has these shocks. USA X5s without AD come in 2 versions: short and long, aka 'self leveling' or 'not self leveling'

You sure you understand this? there are springs AND struts, they work together.

Plus what do you mean by 'sport'? BMW only shipped a 'sport' version in ROW. You gonna import sport dampers from EU?

Bro

33526782875 = Bilstein 19-249070 = Sachs 315313
33526782876 = Bilstein 19-249087 = Sachs 315314
