E70 '08 Drivers seat stays in up/tilt position

Weird issue with an '08 X5 I picked up...all of the driver's power seat adjustments work...but if you press the switch to lower the seat all the way down, as soon as you release the switch it automatically comes right back up into the full up position. No matter what I try, it immediately comes right back up. The switch doesn't physically seem 'stuck' at all...it makes all of the correct mechanical switch noises when you move the switch.

Anyone ever experience this? All of my searching hasn't returned any similar results. Since I don't suspect it is the switch, maybe the seat control module?

I would disconnect the negative battery cable and wait 15 minutes. Reconnect and check again. I think this would clear the memory for you to reset.
