Anyone ever buy a used DPF?

So far my X5 has run with no emissions problem other than the def tank freezing up several times last winter (it was -10F and windy). Dealer said this is normal and not indicative that the def tank heater needs replacing. They said to let the car idle for a while so the def can unfreeze.

With two kids in college I need my x5d to last another 4 years and 50k miles.
In preparation I’m thinking about buying a used DPF and having it professionally cleaned so when mine clogs up I can be back up and running in a day.

(1) anyone tried having their DPF cleaned at a place that does commercial truck filters?

(2) anyone have a used DPF from a delete for sale?

John
