Wondering if there is any interest

As many of you know, I had two E70's a 2008 and my 2013. Well, you also probably know, I sold the 2008. However I had purchased a couple of items for it and, one won't work on my 2013 (m-sport) and the other I've decided not to install as I do not wish to give up my Sirius/XM.

First, I have a brand new bull bar (BMW OE and was told to me that when I bought it that it was the last new one available anywhere) that would have worked on my 2008, but not on my 2013. BMW part number 51 10 0 414 619.

Second, I had purchased an NBT EVO retrofit kit (complete with screen, touch controller and much more) from Bimmer Retrofit for my 2008 X5, but I sold the 2008 when I bought my 2013. So it has just sat in the box waiting to be installed. Well needless to say, after spending over $2,700.00 (I added a few more parts to the kit too) I've decided that the CIC in my 2013 works just fine, I have factory Sirius/XM and, along with the new generation combox and no change necessary. Thus this too I am thinking on selling.

So I'm looking to see if there is any interest and please,1 don't throw out some ridiculously low offer to me as I won't accept and won't even respond to you. I'd prefer to hand it over for local pickup (greater SF Bay Area/Central Valley) for cash. Feel free to PM me to discuss if you're interested.

Update 11 MAR 20: I had purchased the NBT EVO retrofit kit (complete with screen, touch controller and much more) from Bimmer Retrofit for my 2008 X5, and it has just sat in the box waiting to be installed. Well, needless to say, after spending over $2,700.00 ($2,635.00 to Bimmer Retrofit, plus I added a few more parts to the kit too), and then selling my 2008 X5, I've decided that the CIC in my 2013 works just fine. Thus I am selling the kit instead of letting it sit on a shelf.

I'm selling the kit for $1,650.00 in which my loss is your gain so please, don't throw out some ridiculously low offer to me as I won't accept and will not respond to you. I'd prefer to hand it over for local pickup (greater SF Bay Area/Central Valley) for cash. Feel free to PM me to discuss if you're interested.

That bar would look good on an X5 where someone has gone to larger tires, aggressive tread....

Thanks and yes it would. But it also looks good on a "sport" model even without the larger wheels and tires. I just never got it installed onto this one.

How does it mount? I've toyed with the idea from time to time. Cost and availability always stopped me.

Bolts to the front bumper. I'll scan and post the instructions tomorrow. All mounting parts are included. The picture above is the E70 I had purchased it for but no longer own.

Talking

Here is a pic of the bull bar (still in original packaging) along with a scan of the installation instructions. I had to leave off the last page or the pdf would be too large to upload. That page only mentions that no coding is needed. As mentioned, all mounting hardware is included.

This is the OEM bull bar that looks as though it curves into the bumper? Ties into both tow hook mounts?

If so.... I'm VERY interested. I'd be looking to get it shipped to NJ, though. Have no clue what they're worth.

Yes it is the OE Bull Bar that looks like it curves into the bumper but they don't and never have tied into the tow hook mounts. Above I have posted a scan of the OE Installation instructions and you can see how they actually mount. I personally love the look, and if I still had my '08 I'd install. but they don't look right on the m-sport bumper that's on my 2013.

As mentioned, when I purchased this, the dealer had to search the country and even back to Germany, found one at another dealer, procured it and shipped it to me. Supposedly the last NEW OE bull bar in the world. And, this has never been installed on any X5, so it's still in the OE carton and wrapping too. Pelican and ECS are the only ones showing a price and with shipping (though I doubt they can get it) are both right around $212.00 using Trenton as a reference delivery point. I paid more than that when I bought this myself, but I'd go $200 shipped.

There are a lot of aftermarket styles too, just know that the one I have was the only one offered by BMW. Post a pic of your front bumper and we can see if it'll work for you.
