I'm interested in the dyno results. Nice craftsmanship.

Looks neat too, but so do a lot of CAI setups. I'm sure the stock intake setup that the engine cover clips into could be modified to work so that the cover can still be utilized. as well.

No news is good news.

Pleased to say the intake has been working as it should over the past 35,000 miles. I have been through a few K&N dry chargers due to failing elastic but that was covered via K&N warranty. The filter has been cleaned and oiled a couple times. My little rubber "locating pad" which keeps intake rests on has also been working well dampening any noise and has proven to be rather durable considering the vibrations and movement it's subjected to.

The intake has been "tested" in a few heavy downpours and nasty winter conditions multiple times.

I have since added a 335d engine cover to help keep the diesel chatter to a minimum and add extra protection from potential water ingress from the cowl.

Evan

You should consider selling these. Easy gig and you’d be the only one so no competition.

I have laid out a very clear guide on the parts used and how to assemble; very easy for someone to copy ....but people are lazy. I could sell it as a kit but these same people likely wouldn't follow instructions, they would have issues, and blame me. Not interested.

There are some people/companies who have copied the design and are producing updated versions of my intake but I am not keen to promote them because they have sidestepped giving credit where credit is due for their "design inspiration." I didn't patent this intake so of course people can copy and due what they want but as an enthusiast it's pretty shady to have such an obvious copy of an idea, use it to make money, and not give some love to the original designer. Lame.
