Assume you are asking about a car NOT in California?? My m5 and 996TT are both flashed/modded. Once they moved to checksum verification of DME programming Ive had to return to stock. Physical mods not an issue as my guy doesnt really know what he is looking at, but the DME read is idiot-proof
