Refinishing interior Trim

How easy is it to do a wrap on my cracked Piano Black trim? The center console and doors need it badly.

Wrapping the actual pieces are not very difficult or time consuming. The time consuming part of the process is removing all the pieces from the car. The small pieces on either side of the steering wheel just pop off. The glove box trim is riveted in so wrap that in place. The door trim requires panels need to be removed as the trim is held in place by nuts on the back side. The center trim pieces require removing the both carpet panels on each side, popping the idrive control trim, removing the center arm rest, pulling out the cup holder top trim just to get access to the screw holding the trim down. Once the screws are removed, the trim pulls up and out

Great advice! Problem with my trim is there is cracking and splits. Would a wrap cover up those imperfections... or, would the splits still show beneath the wrap?

At worst, I may have to get boneyard trim replacements...

It’s going to depend on the wrap color and material thickness. I wrapped mine in Vivid carbon fiber and it helped mask the cracks. If you look closely, you can still see them but it does help a lot.

If you aren’t concerned about going back to the original finish, you could pull the pieces, fill the cracks, and sand them down prior to wrapping.

It sounds like yours are in pretty rough shape...
