Driver's side door power lock

Power lock on driver's door quit. Can lock with key, other power locks work. Car is 2011 X5 35D.

Looks like replacing actuator is a chore, anyone got ideas??

Id read up on how the locks work. Then find the schematics. See if there are any connectors I could access to test that the unlock signal is indeed being sent.

But ive never had to fix that on a post 2003 BMW....

blue dragon will become famous soon enough
replace the actuator. Taking the door panel off is not hard if you have some torx bits and a plastic non marring tool.
