Where does this hose go?
Had some water in the boot (trunk) area of the X5 e70. I am in the process of clearing the sunroof drain holes etc.
Anyway I noticed that this hose attached to this post was under the battery and crimped by the battery being on top of it. I have now moved it from under the battery and am wondering where it connects to. If anyone know or has images of where it goes that would be appreciated. Thanks Jason |

It goes into the side of the battery to vent hydrogen (I think) gas. You'll want that to be operational as the gas is both corrosive and explosive in sufficient quantities.

Welp, as above- the battery vent.
Requires you to have the correct battery with a vent connection. In terms of being found 'under the battery', this is a common finding after people buy a battery with "installation included". ![]()

note the battery may have holes on each side; so connect the hose to the nearest hole and close the other one (if present) with the plug provided or something similar.
