Yes
When the engine internally catastrophically self destructs. Did you look underneath? Any oil? Look under the oil cap, oil look OK? Or is there shiny metal bits? |

Yes I looked under the car there was no oil leaking underneath and checked the oil manually by pulling the stick out and it still had enough oil in it. The car has been town away by the towing company so can’t check if there was metal shiny bits in the oil.

Doesn't sound good. Unfortunately this sounds like failed timing chain. Of course trouble codes first but tell them to remove cam sensor and see if the cams are turning when engine is turned on the crank.

Does a break of the timing chain gives you a error first of red oil sign on the dash board ?
I thought it could be the oil pump or something and that the car automatically turned of the engine to protect the engine. |
