Update:
Removed the trim piece around the cup holder. It's easier if you remove the center console piece first. That way you can pop open the trim from the bottom and not damage the surface or leave a scar. The side of the trim toward the engine will get stuck if you just pull it with you hand. Slide 2 credit cards (one on each side) and it will be easier to pull out. It's so hard to sand and remove the soft touch black coating from the entire trim piece. I just used a 1500 grit and dry sanded the peeling sections to make the area smooth. Once it's smooth I'm using the same can of PlastiDip to paint over the entire trim piece. Will update to see if the resulting coating looks adequate. Cheers and Have a great weekend everyone!
