Pressurizing that boost system was super helpful on my 996TT. On that thing, 80% of the hoses are hidden... Trip to home depot for test plugs and 3/8" pipe nipples. Listen first, THEN chase.... Also, any idea why this was only showing up now- well after you did these mods, and under the specific loads and speeds? Finally- when people ask "what tune should I get?" I would often say "one that lives close'...or say "The tuner that your local shop has a relationship with".... unlike parts, a tune can be much trickier. And not that it is a tune issue (and clearly this wasnt at issue w Brad's tune), but just that a shop that doesnt know a tune is going to be more challenged with diagnostics or have suspicions about whats going on..... |

So it seems that the issue was not fixed at least from a towing standpoint. I took the camper out for another "dry run" yesterday and sure enough as soon as I hit 65mph I went into limp mode again.
I reached out to Malone to see if there is anything they can do on their end and I guess I'll see what happens next. Ill update the post as soon as I find anything out. |

Just to update in case anyone else has these issues in the future......
After talking to a couple BMW diesel mechanic friends I decided to replace the seals on the charge pipe going from the turbo to the intercooler. I replaced those Tuesday and in doing so found that my CCV hose had 3 small cracks, 1 between each rib. This is most likely the culprit because the seals on the charge pipe seemed perfectly fine. So I have a new CCV hose on order from tune my euro and just have a piece of coolant hose in there now. |

Did the new CCV fix it?

I finally got to replacing the CCV yesterday. The car is definitely running smoother but I have not towed yet. I will do a test run this weekend and report back after.
