Ok sounds good. Thanks for the advice. I talked to my nephew some who is a master mechanic at another dealership. He looked over what the dealer charged me and said he agreed with what they did. He thought the treated me very good and the price and labor/time was fair. He also thinks the warranty company was trying to put a generic water pump on it for the $330 they claimed they could get one. And they would only allow the dealer 3 hours to do the work. Dealer said it takes longer, even though my nephew says if everything goes good they can do it in 3 hours, but the correct flag time they should bid would be around 5 hours. That covers them when one takes longer....
Basically the warranty should have paid 5 hours labor at $140 per hour, and the $634 cost of the pump for a total of $1334- my $100 deductible. Instead they paid $850- my $100 deductible.
My nephew recommended me to call my attorney tomorrow and let them review my contract and let them know what happened. It won’t cost me anything to do this, so I am going to see what they say. Also looking at the contract they should be paying the hotel stay and towing and rental car... couldn’t get a rental or a tow, so that is not relevant. To be fair I also have not submitted a claim for the hotel, so they may very well pay that when I do. It is not like they are going to call me and ask if there is anything else they can pay for....
