Would anyone know what sensor this is?
Would anyone know what the box and wires behind left and right wheel in the attachment are? Thank you |

Looks like the connector box for the ABS sensor and brake pad wear sensor.

Thank you Caryalon. Strange it is so exposed.

The wires coming In should be wrapped but the box is out in the open for easy access for repair. I would wrap the individual wires lets a stone fly off the tire and cut one of the wires leading to mystery brake pad failure light or loss of DSC.

But.... Based on the utter paucity of reported issues with damage to this connection/connector, it seems that BMW engineers have it precisely right. Last edited by ard; 05-26-2021 at 11:37 PM. |

You can use split loom tubing or loom wrap.
