Whistle Transmission slip in 5th gear x5 35d on half throttle

I am wondering if there is a remedy to this issue, the transmission slips in 5th gear at little more than half throttle in manual or automatic mode. It’s an x5 diesel with 203k miles. If you floor it it’s fine because it will shift to fourth but at freeway speeds it will go to fifth and slip. has anyone experienced this issue before?

I use either Carly or my foxwell nt520 pro.

andrewwynn will become famous soon enough
Unless the app/dongle combination was over $100 it doesn't read egs. I'm not familiar with the one you mentioned.

I just bought thinkdiag and it's very good but it is a subscriber based system so it costs every year.

I just ordered a Foxwell NT530 as I needed it for the wife's new F15 X5. The NT520 Pro only covers all the "E" chassis vehicles. I'll be selling it soon but am waiting for its replacement to arrive and pass testing on our vehicles.

203K Miles?

Any history of note???

ATF changes regularly? Any other symptoms over the life of the trans?

Agree codes from the trans might be helpful
