2008 X5 3.0si - changed Xenon Headlight bulb - still not working.

Hi,

My right side Xenon Headlight bulb is not working in my 2008 X5 3.0si.

I replaced the right side Xenon Headlight bulb tonight with a new bulb (wore gloves) and it’s still not working. Tomorrow I will attempt to swap the left headlight and ballast which is working and try these parts on the right side.

Any ideas or suggestions on what else I could try?

Thanks

I will troubleshoot further tonight and I’ll try the left side ballast on the right side tonight to see if it powers on the right headlight.

I have a Foxwell 510 BMW Scanner and it gave me the following codes…

FRM Footwell Module 2 - Fault 7

A8AB/present: FRM dipped beam right faulty

932E/present: FRM: At least 3 xenon ignition attempts, right

E59B/not present: No Message (terminal status), receiver footwell module, transmitter CAS

E59A/not present: No Message (yaw rate), receiver FRM, transmitter DSC

E594/not present: No Message (steering angle), receiver FRM, transmitter SZL/LWS/DSC

A8C4/not present: FRM: Second brake light/adaptive brake light, right faulty

9CCE/not present: FRM: Drive Mirror, passenger side, faulty

Thanks!

FRMs - especially older- have a tendency to fubar.

do a google search or search here or BF for 'frm bad' etc....

Ok thanks for the advice, from my research it looked like they are several symptoms when an FRM goes bad…
Common Failure symptoms:
Indicators not working
Hazard lights not working
Headlights staying on / won’t switch off
Taillights staying on / won’t switch off
No main beam
Interior lights not working
Electric windows not working or will open but not always close
No communications with FRM unit
AC/heating fan does not work
Maintenance/service light permanently on dash

I think my only issue is the headlight (high & low beam) not working ?

If my X5 has no other symptoms….can it still be the FRM FootWell Module going bad?

Regards
