Retrofit/Replace F15 strut for E70

Hi ALL,

My car is 2007 X5 BMW E70, there is problem of strut sensor cable degraded and get short circuit. other is body gas pressure spring leak.
I hear that someone can retrofit and replace strut of F15 for E70.
I have searched on Google but unfortunately not found any topic about that.
have someone doing or knowing this? if possible please advise me how to do or procedure.
P/S the reason I ask the issue is F15 strut is much cheaper than E70 strut.
