9C4A – stepper motor dynamic pressure

So A/C and heat vents starting having issue. When A/C switched on and fan is running sounds like pressure is being released out of a soda bottle that was shook-up and slowly being release. Turn the fan off and sound goes away
Assuming that this air leaking past a vents that is not getting opened all the way?
With no A/C on no Air from middle vents left/right sides
Defrost blows hard and hor
Already confirmed iDrive settings

get the following

Do you have any diagnostic tools like INPA, ISTA or OBD readers/apps?

Edit: Ooops, just read the bottom of your post. If you can get ISTA running you can test all the various ~13 flaps and read their states.

Yes I do, BimmerGeeks ProTool Right now

Have tried several times without success to get ISTA running on a laptop. I get it installed but when connecting to the car it does not read or no communication.

I know that would be really helpful. Can you recommend a link with up to date instructions (win10) and links for download?

Also might be the cable that I am using?
https://www.bimmergeeks.net/product-...dition-k-dcan1

Will that one work or do I need

^ That cable looks good. I would trust it for the E70. Getting ISTA running can be a bear. I recently got it working on my 3rd attempt. The software packages have gotten better in terms of "ease of install." PM'ing you on possible source.

Your AUC sensor will take care of the A6CF.

9C69 could be tougher. In the E60/E61 there is a wire that gets pinched/frayed inside the center console that causes the symptoms you describe. I went through that. Apparently a problem in multiple chassis, not sure about the E70. Here is a thread mentioning it for the E90: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1288626.

Not familiar with your other 3 IHKA70 codes.

I'd start with the AUC sensor and then go from there.

Good luck.

Awesome thanks for the update and PM downloaded and will wipe the laptop and try again.

Ill update once the AUC sensor gets her on the 10th. At least that will be an easy swap.

I saw that thread in my searching, The A/C Compressor is engaging when the A/C is turned on just not getting any Cold Air through the vents. Just get a sound that I can only describe is the sound of a propane tank getting filled up

So I think that the vent flags are not opening up like they should and only a sliver is opening and creating the sound. Thus my focus on the Dynamic Pressure flag.

I am going to pull the vent cover and see if the I can see the flaps moving.

Ill keep updating as hope progress is made

Replaced the AUC sensor, cleared codes and so far so good.

Only codes left that I need to fix

Figured out that you can use ProTool to test all the Flaps oprmomg and closing. All responde except The Dynamic Pressure Flag when testing

Is this the correct part ?? If so should be able to access it under the passenger side footwell?

The mirror was bough at a BMW salvage yard

# 51167179633
2007-2013 BMW X5 (E70) LEFT DRIVER P-FOLD AUTO DIM HEATED DOOR MIRROR

So poss. that the heating element is bad. Everything else works....I am more concerned about the Dynamic Pressure Flap because right now I have not Cold air that blows. I can feel cold air its like its being blocked.

As per the testing of all the FLAPs the only one that does not respond to the test is the dynamic pressure flap

Just looking for confirmation that I am going to be ordering the correct part to replace.

I ordered that very same part for a problem that ended up being an issue with the IHKA controller. So it may or may not fix your issue.

Mine was reporting the stratification flap + a Lin Bus error, but as I understand it, the Lin Bus issue will cause all the other codes to show up. I followed all the steps outlined elsewhere, included the dynamic stepper motor steps (went ahead and tried a new part just in case).

I can confirm that's the part that will fit under the glove box, below/behind the blower motor. It's really easy to access and remove/install.
