Reverse Camera not working

I have recently bought a stock standard X5 E70 3.5 diesel, 2005 model.

When we first bought the car, the reverse camera would come on whenever we put the car in reverse.

But now, when se put the car into reverse, the GPS map is displayed instead of the rear camera view.

Is this a setting we somehow activated?

Any idea how to fix it?

Cheers,

JG

My car is newer but I can manually kick on the camera with a dashboard button next to the DSC disable button. If yours does this you can at least confirm it's working.

Do you have a BMW level scanner to read module errors?

Thanks for the reply.
My car does not have a manual button.

I do have a scanner that reads and clears error codes, but am not sure which section to look in.

No but does your scanner have auto scan like mine? Best way to discover which modules are even in your car. Foxwell NT 520 is what I use.
