Also FYI, according to BMW TIS literature, the stretch belt is called the "ELAST drive belt".

I used the LISL tool to replace the belt in an E70 X5 3.5D engine.

Had to make up a star tool to turn the main pulley as mine just has 4 bolts (no centre bolt).

Gut an old socket half way in a cross pattern, then welded some steel in the cross grooves. Then turned the socket with a ratchet.

That's wild no center bolt access never seen that but awesome on the custom tool.
