Rotating front/back every 5k miles mostly evens out the wear.

Last set of 255/50R19 I had got me through some 65,000+ miles. Dead even wear. Measured four different spots on each tire just before they came off for replacement and they were within 1/16" of each other. Michelin Premier LTX on 9x19" Style 335 wheels, 7.5 - 10k mile rotations. Just a lowly 35d with regular suspension. Camber set in the middle of BMW specification and minimum toe-in.
