Drivers Side Soft Close Door Malfunction - What's Wrong?

Okay, so the title says the problem. Drivers side door is malfunctioning. Here is the problem:

When you shut the door, the soft close mechanism pulls the door shut, but a couple seconds later, it pops back open. What exactly is wrong and what should I replace?

Thanks for anyone's help.

Assume youve done a google search? There are tons of threads/posts/videos.

For example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xd1_kKOBrHs&t=497s

But.... complaints range from 'wont soft close' to 'door bounces, never even latches' to 'closes then opens' to 'closes then opens 30 minutes later'.... I suspect there are a couple of faults at play, and no idea if 'replace the actuator' is necessarily the fix for every one.

Yes, I did do a Google search, but didn't find the exact symptom. I just don't want to replace door parts willy nilly, as they can get pricey.

I know this is from last month, but wondering if you came to a resolution. I haven't been lucky enough to find out my problem, but probably need to replace the driver's door actuator too.

If the drivers door is closed "softly" it doesn't always suck it in entirely as it should. But no grinding or other noise at all. This all happened when my wife shut the door on the tip of her thumb and of course it cycled through trying to shut fully, but didn't. So I'm guessing the gearing is probably broken.

Thanks.

I first scanned with ISTA and didn't have any codes for the soft close or actuators. Tried with multiple other scanning tools and nothing there either. So looking more like I'll need to replace the actuator.

I actually just started having this issue about 6 weeks ago and for the time being I just pulled the fuse for the soft close and just close it myself. Works great and I know it isn't a permanent fix but it's better than throwing money at new handles, actuators, etc.
