Monroe OEspectrum aka reflex works great on e70!

A month ago, I decided on the Monroe oe spectrum shocks from rockauto/amzn.
Koni special active looked good too but the prices I found on the Monroe had me intrigued as they got good reviews in other applications.
They also have a koni like idea of variable valving, where certain frequencies of bumps would reduce the damping to prevent harshness, without needing to be soft damping all the time.

During install, I noticed that the Monroe shocks in the front and the back were about 1 inch longer on full extension than stock. They have an extra inch of travel, which must be helpful on dealing with rough terrain.

The test drive was uneventful at first because body roll felt the same and single bumps gave firm feedback like the stocks.

However the next morning there was noticeably less jarring impacts on my drive to work. The shocks would soften up on repeated undulations of the road, while the stock would just keep transmitting the pattern.

Also after a week they became quicker to respond to harsh pavement. I think the adjusting valve in there got broken in and worked quicker.

Overall, a good shock with a feel like stock, except for a lot of harsh pavement/bumps which make them feel more like a Lexus or Benz, but without the sloppiness that those softer suv's have.
