Lightbulb Possible Audio Game Changer

I've been collecting parts to upgrade the base audio in my 2011 X5 for a while now and came across something that could simplify installs greatly. A review for it is below:

https://www.educarmag.com/reviews/pr...kicker-keyloc/

This device takes in the speaker level audio from the amp/headunit, converts it to line level, and automatically performs digital signal processing to remove any stock audio signal processing. There are test tracks to do and other function, but just this alone seems like a real boon. Each 2 channel unit costs roughly 130 USD.

Still collecting parts and waiting for the outdoors to cool down from oven temperatures, so I did a test of the aux audio input. I plugged a known good Bluetooth adapter into it and played music over it through my phone.

I now understand why so many say the AUX input quality is so poor. It was not just a volume problem; it sounded as though the range was clipped or distorted, not just a lower than expected volume.

Noting that, I've ordered a MOST Aux IN adapter to see if that will mitigate the input issues. If not, I'll just have to bypass the stock audio altogether.

Its been a few years since Ive read such a pile of marketing fluff.....

The beauty of this kind of company is that people that spend $2, 3, 4k to upgrade will SURELY just GUSH about how great the sound is.... gonna be hard to find good, unbiased reviews.

(I do like how they claim the way they get such good sound is by improving the signal to noise. On a speaker upgrade?)
