Central locking issue... Not the FOB.
2013 E70.
Issue: I can use the FOB only for a short period of time after unlocking the car. At this point, once the issue of the FOB not unlocking car, I have to unlock with key. I can then use the FOB to unlock and lock and it works as normal for all doors and hatch. If I walk away for some undetermined time, 15 mins ish, the FOB will not open anything. I should also mention that prior to this it would randomly not work until clicking it 20 times, (exaggerated) and then work. Initially it was the hatch that gave me issues. Up until a day or 2 ago it will sense I am at the drivers door of the hatch and will allow me to open with pulling on handles; but the FOB would not work itself. Again... once I unlock the car the FOB works normal for an undetermined time frame. I am thinking that maybe the receiving module is on acting up, just wondering if anyone has run into a similar unusual problem. ... new battery in FOB and old one read 3.12 volts. New one reads 3.33 volts. - Have been trying it over the last hour since posting this... working as it should. :/ - Check temps of handles with infrared lazer and no high temps on handles.
