E70 30d - around 5 regens in 120 miles

Hi All,

Finally got around to fixing nearly all my issues (Valve cover leak, injector return leak, swirl flap leak, electronic parking brake actuator, EGR Thermostat, Main Thermostat)

On my way to a relatives my partner used Carly to monitor Exhaust Temp, Coolant temp and DPF values. With the new stats the coolant temps where spot on, 88/91 degrees and never budged. Exhaust temps 280/330ish and then 585 max when doing a regeneration.

DPF screen however is where the issues lied, literally the car would burn off the soot to 0g but then in maybe 20 minutes it would be back into the mid to high 40's and do another regeneration. I recall around 5 regenerations in the 122 miles but there could have been more. Ash is somewhere in the 60's now.

But why?...

In my opinion the car is running great, at 60MPH all the way there (50MPH for road works) the car showed 34.4mpg but I filled the car to the brim before setting off then 122 miles later I stopped off at the petrol station around by my relatives and the result was

14.74 litres @ 175.9 per litre costing £25.93 which appears to work out at 37.94MPG. So the car I think is running pretty good?
