Not sure what to think here.
Got my car in to fix 3 BMW recalls (drivers airbag, pass airbag and the PCV valve from the 2017 recall notice).
Dealer says all were fixed. I got home and looked at the engine bay. Based on what I understand of the requirements to change the PCV valve, it doesn't look like they changed it, which is concerning for obvious reasons.
1) Per BMW notice, the alternator has to be removed to access the PCV, which is in the middle and under the manifold. But these are aluminum bolts and the notice says single use, and must be replaced. Based on the attached image, those do not look new and they don't appear to have been touched
2) the PCV valve itself, does not look like it was replaced with a new part, because it still looks greasy and as if it has been there from the start
Any thoughts? It almost smells like the dealer claims to fix these issues, bills BMW, profits without doing the work.
