Intercooler upgrade
I'm looking at this one, and was wondering if anyone had experience with it and how to compares to ATM, Wagner and others... https://rev9power.com/bmw-x5-xdrive3...grade-kit.html |

I fitted an upgraded / larger intercooler to my UK X5 35D, I brought mine from Darkside Developments but most of the upgraded intercoolers for the E70 X5 are of similar design.
I can't really give you any feedback on just upgrading the IC, as i fitted mine when i carried out other work such as EGR Valve Delete / EGR Cooler Delete / DPF delete / Cat delete / Swirl Flap Delete / Full Service / Tune. Stock my 35D X5 came with 286bhp & Now i'd like to hope i'd be in the 350-370bhp ball park (next upgrade is hybrid turbos), Last year in the UK we had a very hot Summer and i didn't notice any form of heat soak or lack of power. Looks interesting. My n55 has the condenser located right where this goes. Clearly meant for racing where you won't have AC. Might be able to raise the condenser? The n63 we owned had much more effective intercoolers so this one does intrigue me. The company might have details on how many more degrees of temp drop. It does seem to have double the volume so should be able to pull 50-90% more heat from the compressed air.
