So you got a code for a missing gasket?

JUST KIDDING!!

Glad you stuck with it and got it figured out. Hopefully.

And good info for others.

2 youtube vids of the readings form my scanner.
If you can decipher, let me know.
Towards the end of the vid2 (30secs) you can hear it making a "popping" noise.

Not sure why, will look later... my foxwell was not picking up the 2BEE high fuel pressure, plausibility, cold start: pressure too low code.
Which really sucks as I bought the Foxwell to dig deeper.
Went back to using bimmercode and found it there.

Anyway, now I am back to the beginning as this was the code that came up prior to replacing the original HPFP.
Now I am back to scratching my head. Thinking about replacing the replacement HPFP with a 3rd unit.
Just not seeing an original HPFP going bad, when replacing the valve cover, and then replacing it with a bad one. I have bad luck, generally, but this bad?! lol.

Your low pressure is 165psi!

Mine is steady at 101.

Pretty sure thats the 113/114 constant line.

Pics of the mpa/psi readings non graph...

in the 2 pics the 5.02 mpa (728) is idle and the 12 mpa (1740) is feathering the idle up.
Not sure why they are so erratic.

And shouldn't these pressures be sufficient?

Does the engine run at all?
Put 2 gal of gas in tank to rule out a tank level gage problem.
Remove and reinsert all coil connectors.
I think "rail pressure" is the measured value and "nominal value" is the target/expected value. Your fuel pressures seem low.

N55 may be different, but when I unlock my E70 N52 or open door after being asleep, the fuel pump primes. We need to confirm the LPFP is delivering ~5barg. Check fuel pressure after unlocking and before cranking using scanner. If you can't see it thru scanner, my N52 has Bundy fittings near brake booster that allow a pressure gage to be connected to the LP side of the HPFP.

Does Foxwell allow you to run the LPFP?

The high numbers looks good the low number is too high.

I'll check on my car when I get a chance to compare

Rail pressure never goes above 1.25 mPa, I think that's too low for HPFP.
N55 has both LP and HP fuel sensors.
Odd that scanner screen shots are both titled "high pressure", when they have different "nominal" values.
1.25MPa (12.5 barg) is too high for LP side.
Seems like LP sensor is fubar or EKPS is working overtime, or scanner isn't really reading LP fuel pressure sensor on "high pressure" screen.
ISTA will tell you to confirm LP fuel pressure with gage.
