2013 X5 E70 antenna testing with NT510 elite

Has anyone done this or know a way to test the signal of the antenna's in the car?
I just noticed the other night that when I hold my fob close to the center of the roof it works every time.
So far the last 2 days, it has worked from the outside, holding the fob over the top of the car, every time.

I have posted earlier about the issue I have had with the fob and was contemplating on putting it in the shop to have them figure it out.
I think I'm onto something but want to be able to test as I hate just replacing.

from TIS...

Reset the Car Access Systems

After working on the CA (Comfort Access), in particular on the door handles:
It may be necessary to reset the Car Access System (CAS) control unit.
The following methods are available:
  • Using service functions: Service functions -> Drive -> CAS -> CAS reset
  • Using control unit functions under CAS

Note: Reset can be recognised at the START/STOP button.
When resetting the CAS, the START/STOP button illumination is briefly deactivated.

Thanks Ard. I had done that yesterday. Today, form clicking around, found:
Quick scan
28 Junction Box/ active test/ central locking drives
- reset control module
At first, it seemed like it worked but after the above and the hour long "wait" time... notta!
So, next will be the new fob.
I did find that I have the #2 fob, as far as how the X5 sees the one fob I have.
So, maybe having a new one dedicated as #1 will make the difference!?
