The $86 cover and gasket has been leak free, which I was unable to achieve on (2) VCG replacements re-using the original valve cover.

I wouldn't even consider using old VC on a car over 100,000 miles

So the Amazon PCV valve showed up today (valve cover should be not too far behind.) The nipple on the top is indeed a vent only to the diaphragm and not to the crankcase so the guy in the You tube video needing to cover the big port with his hand either has a ruptured diaphragm or there has been some kind of change made! I gotta say the quality "looks" perfectly fine actually better than what the listing picture shows

N52 PVC separate from VC? Must be nice.

My new CCV+VC comes today.

I have an internal leak in vacuum reservoir of mine. I have a loss of boost issue which may also be from the boost controller. I bought also hoping to return it vs. replace also.

I still remember when valve covers were life-of-the-car parts. This is the first valve cover I've had to replace in >50 years of wrenching.
I'd still be leaking oil if I had to pay $450 for a valve cover.

I agree. On the m62 still used metal VC! That said they aren't in the same class of sophistication!

I'm ok with $3-400 every 170,000 miles. I'm pretty sure mine is OG.

Valve cover showed up today and looks impressive. It's updated even from the picture as the PCV valve now has a screw on metal cover where the pic showed a clipped in plastic original type PCV valve/cover. Comes with all the extra brackets as well (after I paid a stupid amount of money for the one bracket that was missing on mine! ) Also threaded holes for the beauty cover instead of clips, and screwed on separator passage covers.
